LA PINETA
hotel-restaurant rises on a hill, immersed
in the green countryside, with a spectacular
pine grove behind it. Situated in the Monte
Cuccu regional park, it the ideal spot for
those seeking clean air, tranquillity and
good cuisine. For years now it has even been
the destination for sports clubs in training
because, apart from the tranquillity, of the
possibility of using the sports facilities.
The foundation of the company goes back to
1962 when nothing yet existing in this place
except for a verdant hill and a stupendous
pine grove. |

It was
at first
called
the
‘Cascina
delle
rose’, a
refreshment
room
where
the
traditional
‘crescia’,
a kind
of
piecrust,
was
served
with
slices
of
salami
and
vegetables.
The
founder
of this
activity
was
David
Diamantini
together
with his
wife
Agnese
and sons
Massimo
and Pier
Luigi. |

With the passage of time
and with the will to create something
greater, their dreams came true halfway
through the 1960’s when the structure
underwent substantial modification with the
construction of a capacious restaurant and
four bedrooms. The LA PINETA
Pensione-Restorante was taking shape. |

At the
beginning of the 1970’s, the structure, amid
sacrifices and satisfaction, grew again and
two more bedrooms were built and the
restaurant further increased in size. At the
helm of the structure was, by now, Massimo
Diamantini together with his mother. |

The name LA PINETA
Pensione-Restorante was changed to
Albergo-Ristorante LA PINETA when, by the
beginning of the 1980’s, the complete
structure of the Hotel had more or less
taken shape. The owner is Massimo Diamantini,
a man who, thanks to his great willingness
and innate ability, began working to improve
and embellish the structure until making it
one of the most beautiful and welcoming in
the area. |

And arriving in
our time, having passed halfway through the 1980’s
and the first years of the 1990’s to the creation of
18 rooms and an additional restaurant. This is the
brief and concise history of the Hotel - Ristorante
LA PINETA. |
